Wert Collecting French sheet music, playing French records, and keeping a bulletin board were devices which French Clubbers under Miss Mabel Fee used to make the language seem real. Financed by a candy sale, a Christmas box was prepared by members for a needy French child. Speaking French, reports of French customs, and singing French songs were features of a Christmas party and other social events. Besides bringing Caesar to life again, Latin Club members, super- vised by Miss Lois Rinsch, originated sock hops and sponsored candy sales which provided funds for the annual Roman Banquet and sent representatives to Latin conventions. Second-year students planned to journey to Chicago to visit well-known museums and the planetarium. Caroling in Latin highlighted the Christmas program. Page nineteen I l
