SOCCER BA SEBA LL 5,6040 7Zew4 T hrs year s soccer team fxmshed wrth a record of 3 wrns, 2 tres, and 5 losses Hart ford scored a total of 30 pornts for the season agarnst therr 5 opponents total of 32 pomts The games were very close wrth all defeats by less than 4 pomts The Tanagers drsplayed excellent pass work and defense but lacked sconng punch Thrs rs the last team to repre sent Hartford m mterscholastrc soccer For next fall we wrll enter the srx man football league Wrth a record of 7 wrns and 10 losses our basketball squad showed a great deal of rm provement over last year s team Our thnll of the basketball season was our vrctory over Argyle wrth a score of 69 65 Thrs IS the frrst trme m 6 years that we have beaten Argyle Although we won only 2 other league games we are strll very proud of our team for every other game except 2 were lost by less than 10 pornts Agam next year we wrll be stan mg wrth a new squad for we wrll lose 7 out of 10 players on thrs year s team Fran Pau quette was hrgh scorer of the season wrth 278 points He was followed by Drck Osborne Ray and Bob Chadwrck The Junror Varslty led by Andy Pauquette won 2 games, As the yearbook goes to press the baseball team has not started practrce Wrth the return of all of last year s team we are lookrng forward to a good season Again rt is planned to have track for any boys who are mterested
