F ORE WURD The school year of 1958-1959 has been a busy one for the students of Hart High School. In this yearbook the annual staff has tried to sum up the many activities in which our school has participated. The symbols of the various activities and organi- zations are a never-ending parade, but we have tried to capture a few of these in words, drawings, and photographs so that in years to come you may lookback at these and faintly remember the joys, the wonderful good times, the sorrows, and tribulations of which you were a part this year. The symbol of H, H, S, is the Longhorn, but the true ymbol of our school is the spirit of the students, the cooperation which they have demonstrated, the many activities in which they have participated, and the fine way they have upheld the standards of Hart High School. The '59 Longhorn has attempted to portray the past school year as faithfully as possible. There are s ome events which, unfortunately, have be en omitted They were missed because of forgetfulness, the nature of people, and the pressure of deadlines, For this, and for picture appointments missed, we are sorry. We, of the staff, have done our best to make this yearbook one that will reflect credit upon the school and give something to you, the student, that you will treasure in the future. To what measure we have succeeded, you may be the final judge. We, the Annual Staff, are proud to present to you our 1959, Longhorn. THE ANNUAL STAFF Sue Hardy, Editor
