The cooks keep them from dying of malnutrition, while the custodians protect them from grime and diseases The secretaries, principal, superintendent and counselors keep records of their past and help prepare for their future. And the teachers bear education into their heads in hopes rhar they'll learn at least enough to go on with life after high school. We, on the yearbook staff thought we'd try something different this year and write a small, bur meaningful dedication for the staff. During rhe year, this class of 13 students, under rhe instruction of Mr. James Quinn, managed to build a three bedroom, 28' 48' house, with a connecting 20' 28' garage. They began in September with two and a half weeks of book work. Then began rhe construction process. Bids were taken in mid March for rhe house located in Meadow Brook subdivision. It was completed in May. Working in pairs, rhe students built rhe house from rhe basement up. This was conducted between fourth-sixth hours, and each srudenr earned three credits. Although this was primarily a work class, some text work was required. This dealt with cerroin stages in rhe process such as, electrical, plumbing etc. When asked to comment concerning rhe course, Mr. Quinn responded, I felt very satisfied with rhe work shown by rhe class, ond with their house.
