Keep Dribbling The new coach, Karen Drenth, lead the Junior Varsity girls basketball team. Tonia Sloan and Mandy Hackett were selected by the team as co-captains. When asked what coach Karen Drenth thought was the most memorable game of the season she replied, The game against Shelby. The girls were down by 11 points at the half, but came back strong the second half. Their determination paid off as they led Shelby at the end of the 4th quarter, then in over time the girls hung on and won the game against their rivals 42-39 .
