HART BEAT Provides Journalistic Experience Writing for the HART BEAT is not only fun, but gives students some insight into the real work of journalism. Writing stories is the basis for the school newspaper. However, it involves more. Some one has to gather information, type the stories, and lay out the paper. It also involves a great deal of personal contact with interviewing students, and expressing the faults and achievements of H.H.S. through the use of editorials. Putting Out Another Spring Book HARTIAN staff tries to look busy. Yearbook The yearbook staff worked hard to put out another spring book. Many hours were spent designing page layouts, writing copy and trying to find just the right pictures. The staff had to meet deadlines which at the time seemed impossible. The editor who deserves credit is Peggy Avery. Mrs. Ramseyer was the advisor. The best part of being on the yearbook staff is seeing the finished HARTIAN. We hope you like it too. 28

Les Nouvelles There are seven girls in the group. The group has been performing for three years. Les Nouvelles is the only dance group, that practices on their own time. The other dance group is the Dee Cee Dancers which consists of girls from the eight o'clock drama class. Both group’s dances are choreographed by Kris Hansen. The girls performances were at the Night With The Drama Class”, The Asparagus Banquet, Asparagus Talent Show, and the Hi-Jinks. The dances were to the songs Born To Be Alive , A Heartache Tonight”, and a few others. Practice makes perfect.
