1963 REVIEW HART HIGH SENIORS Seniors CLASS HISTORY 1960 Freshman Class—96 Class Officers: Pres. Steve Bengston Vice. Larry Dorman Sec. Nancy Nelson Treas. Lane Tate Won first prize for float Cage Those Kittens at Homecoming. 1961 Class Officers: Pres. George Fuentes Vice. Jerry Brandel Sec. Jill McCarty Treas. Bob Foster World history class visited museum and TV station in Grand Rapids. Biology smells and trips. Candy sales—hard to sell burned candy. Class party There's A Moon Out Tonight” 1962 Lots to do this year. Class Officers: Pres. Jerry Brandel Vice. Jim Stover Sec. Karen Trommater Treas. Faith Lindgren O, aren't they beautiful? Class rings referred to of course. Moved into our new High School building in February. What a wonderful improvement. Banquet theme Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining. John Hanmer Four foreign exchange students joined our class, Christine, Bep, Till and Jorgen. Served as guinea pigs in a new school experiment, TV lessons and two hour classes. Often longed for commercials. Homecoming brought victories. Won float contest second time with Let's whip'em. Faith was our spariding queen. Sociology trips to Coldwater, Kalamazoo and Ionia brought us face to face with some of life's realities. Christmas dance Frigid Fling HONORS ANNOUNCED The top ranking members of the Class of 1963 has been announced by Principal Slaughter. Faith Lindgren, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lindgren of Mears, is the valedictorian. She has been very active in her class, in band, was Homecoming Queen of 1963 and attended Camp Minawanca having received the Dr. Robinson award. Nancy Nelson, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Nelson, is the salutatorian. Nancy is Senior class president and Varsity cheerleader, attended Girls' State in 1962, won the local Betty Crocker contest and participated in many other activities. The other honor students of Class of 1963 are Jim Stover, Sandra Mack, Nancy Walsworth and Karen Trommater.
