The Class Prophecy On September 1, 1965, a reunion of the Hart “55” graduation class was held at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Stevens. A luncheon was served followed by some games and a great “gab-fest.” The following was reported as true information. Don and John Alvesteffer have-become co-owners of the largest farm in Michigan. Although Ron Alvesteffer did not choose to join the above partnership, he is prospering very well on his own 175 acre farm. Wayne Anderson has become head butcher of one of the largest packing companies in Oceana County. Ron Barton who started at the bottom of the ladder is now principal of Hart High School. Dick Bates will be referee for the boxing championship bout tomorrow night at Madison Square Garden. Arlene Battice is working in the Oceana County Bank. Colleen Blackmer is married and is also the head nurse at the Hart Hospital. The United States Supreme Court recorder is Bud Brimmer. His shorthand and typing have really helped push him along. Wilma Bonstell is typing for the Hart Realty Company. Audrey Borreson is married and is giving piano lessons in her spare time. Don Brandel is now flying “flying saucers” over the sand dunes. Beverly Brubaker is Hart’s 5th grade teacher. It is impossible to make any of her pupils stay home unless he is sick. Barbara Chapman has moved to West Virginia where she is teaching the 6th grade. Sally Chesness has become head director of Michigan’s Girls’ State. Shirley Claeys is head bookkeeper for Rexall Drug Company. J oan Dailey is still trying to get the announcements out on time. However she is now doing it for Michigan State College. Gerald Dayharsh (Dr.) is one of the busiest ivory pullers in Los Angeles, California. Mary Dillingham is doing quite well for herself being the wife of a multi-millionaire. Bill Dorman has made Stokely Canning Company the largest company in Michigan. Jerry Eisenlohr is teaching the 8th grade in Whitehall High School. Mears has grown and one of our foresighted classmates has helped it. Don Foster owns the big gas station on the corner of main street. Herbert Foster has started a dairy farm. He has over 100 animals. Ken Gray is Oceana’s Agriculture Agent. He is one of the best we have ever had. Don Greiner has had wonderful luck. He moved to Texas and has 5 oil wells on his farm. Norman Greiner is working on his 3rd million. He has his own plane and has been courting a girl from Cuba. Marilda Hale is a nurse in Hart Hospital. Joe Hammerle has always liked farming. He is now doing custom farming around Grand Rapids. John Hawley is married and is teaching his children how to bud trees. Chuck Hefner has just finished his job of head carpenter on the new Hart High School building. Donna Heyndenberk is one of Arthur Murray’s best dancing instructors. Buzzy Heydenberk is director of the Hart High School Band which now has 120 members. They also have a large orchestra. Truck driving is a very good business. Albert Hudson has been trucking fruits and vegetables from Florida to Michigan. Duane Johnson has taken over his father’s farm but he is still interested in cars. The United States and Russia have been getting along very good. Marlene Jorisson has been the ambassador to Russia the last 3 years. Blanche Lindsay runs and owns her own restaurant. You see more and more Ford cars every day because Bob Lipski owns and manages the Ford Manufacturing Company. Stanley Mast joined the army after graduation and is now a Second Lieutenant. Pat McCann is managing the Mobilgas Station. He also has the most jazzed up car in Oceana County. Gale McKenzie just won the Michigan Tall Story Contest. Mary Meisenheimer is a secretary for the government of Pluto. Herbert Merton is trapping animals in Alaska.
