s I X T H This year's sixth graders have tried hard to prepare themselves for democratic world citizenship. Our Weekly Reader newspaper has helped us to understand the need of world friendliness and understanding. We have stressed self-control and self-dependence. We have all taken turns in helping someone who didn't understand something that we did. We have worked hard on paragraph reading to geo the main ideas. We have learned to be more independent by developing research habits through the use of many different textbooks. We made a border frieze showing life of ancient peoples. We have emphasized visualizing and understanding our work in social studies and arthmetic. We learn sportsmanship in our gym work. W.e study and Illustrate Visualizing fractional poems .
