Hart County High School Hartwell, Georgia 1975 MEMOIR THANK- YO U BILL Y AND DAN The kaleidoscope of H.C.H.S. has been most effectively captured on film and now fills the pages of the Memoir '75. This shows the dedication and patience of two men who have made this possible; Billy Moorehead and Dan Evans. Billy has been with the Memoir Staff for twenty years and Dan has been with us for six years. Because these two men are consid- ered a part of the school and the Memoir Staff, the 1975 Memoir Staff would like to express their gratitude by saying, ‘ THANK-YOU Billy and Dan.” 2 IN DEDICATION So many times a man’s purpose is only to better himself. It's not often that we come into contact with a man who genuinely cares for the interests and opinions of others as well as himself. Hart County High School is fortunate to come into contact with a man of this calibre. He is a person who takes pride in and is dedicated to his work; a person who seems to enjoy life to the fullest. It’s indeed an honor to dedicate this 1975 MEMOIR to MR. ANTHONY PRESLEY 3 FOREWORD Life at HCHS is like a ferris wheel where continuous revolutions become like the days slipping one into another. Each new experience, each new challenge takes its seat and as the ferris wheel turns, the days pass. Experiences and challenges fade as others take their place. Life at HCHS is like a merry-go-round full of ups — with just as many downs, constantly moving, bringing us to the realization that the natural highs of life are always coupled with the natural lows. The HCHS Memoir '75 is your very own House of Mirrors reflecting the carnival of days at HCHS. We have tried to make our captured reflection clear and true so that in years hence you may vividly remember your days at HCHS, that you may recall those challenges and experiences and most of all your friends. The resolving of every new challenge lends a new and different perspective to life. Life is made to be shared. 8 THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP I think that God will never send a gift so precious as a friend. A friend who always understands and fills each need as it demands: Whose loyalty will stand the test, when skies are bright or overcast. Who sees the faults that merit blame but keeps on loving just the same. Who does far more than creeds could do to make us good to make us true. Life is taking on responsibilities and being of service to our school. 10 11 Each day of life brings a new experience and breaks the pattern of the day before. We must live each day to the fullest. Promises of the future are only relative and never positive. 15 LIFE IS COMPETING 16 1974 BIG AT RIGHT: Hart County Bulldogs are: Joe Verdell, Ricky Sanders, Rocko Stowers, Felton Goss, Dan Pol- lard, Larry McCord, Charles Tucker, Larry Brown, David Jones, Lorenzo Barnes, Nathaniel Teasley, Vernon Turpin, Travis Sturgill, Bob Cordell, Ricky Basinger, Steve Smith, Stephen Carter, David Flem- ing, Rod Phillips, Mike Bowers, Ben Phillips, Billy Cash, Bobby Seymour, Kenneth Sheller, Jerry Brown, Rusty Kellar, Bill Smith, Robert Powell, Erskin Morris.
