Classes.........11 The mind's eye is a camera which prints forever; its lens, the patterns of human activity; and its paper, the mind. Here we have a more complete rendition that the dynamic mental camera could never catch. A port- folio of new memories and expe- riences .. . The Dawning of the 70's. Life is a winding lane. We expe- rience fellowship with new students and teachers, and our community—a fellowship that grows as the year passes. We learn rapidly of tradition, but also become increasingly aware of new-found freedoms as an indi- vidual. Life is a cycle, recurring, ever- moving, ever-widening. Fall comes with school again, new friends added to old, homework, recalling past knowledge and putting it to use, club activities, football, crisp frosty air, a burst of glorious color, burning leaves .. . then winter with wool skirts at last, heavy coats, warm fire- places, basketball, hard studying, exams, holidays, that first snowflake, hot chocolate, the reality of Christ- mas, a new year, confetti and horns, 69?—no—70, resolutions .. . and now spring with soft warm air, bright smiles, picnics, baseball, banquets, concerts, plays, a world of green, magic, exams again, the last mad rush .. . After graduation and good- bys we will reach out for a new and better way of life. Tomorrow will challenge and encourage us to go on to summer, to maturity, to an adult life built on knowledge and memories of these hectic, frustrating, rewarding days. Let's go now and probe the 70's. Emerson said Hitch your wagon to a star. One can see in those six words the summary of human achievement and an everlasting in- spiration to the future of man.
