You've got one more chance, another comma splice and you'll F-l-U-N-K! MRS. SARA ADAMS MRS. RUBY NELL BANNISTER Language Department English students study grammar, literature, and the history of human thought and philosophy. They find that it is becoming increasingly important to be able to speak and write their own language effectively and accurately. To the English Department we owe our ap- preciation and understanding of the English language. Through this department, our outlook on the cultural side of life has been greatly increased. We also reap the benefits of practice in writing which stimulates an inner desire to be creative. With hard work and the added benefit of a lan- guage lab, the students are mastering new sounds and new grammar. Vocabularies, sentence structure, and especially the study of customs and culture all help make foreign languages alive for today and for the future. Miss Mize prepares for her art class. She is also one of our English teachers. He thinks I didn't see that rubber band sailing across the room, just wait 'til he gets his report card. I'll teach him.
