We sincerely hope our purpose to present something new and different has been achieved . . . This hope will be realized, if, in the years to come, this volume brings you memories of friends . . . and of life at Hart County High. W. Cleveland County School Superintendent Dear Seniors: Soon the 1961-1962 school year will become history, and you will be graduates rather than seniors. At this important time in your lives I am glad to have an opportunity to congratulate you and to wish you well in all your future activities. I hope that the knowledge and experience you have gained in the schools of Hart County will prove valuable. As you go on to further education or employment, I wish for each of you much success. We are proud of you as individuals and as a class. You have already made contributions to our schools and have helped main- tain the good reputation of Hart County High School. The same qualities that you have exhibited in school affairs will make you good citizens of our state and nation. May the happiness that comes from serious purpose and unr selfish service be yours. Sincerely yours. D. W. Cleveland 12 Dear Students: You will find in this volume a pictorial account of the who, what, how, why and when of Hart County High School. Regardless of your grade level it will be important for you to realize that no educational institution can give you an education: We can provide the facilities, the faculty, and the environment. Then we invite you to take full advantage of these opportunities. To the members of the 1962 Class I wish to express my sincere congratulations on your individual achievements during your stay at Hart County High School. You carry with you my best wishes for abundant joy and happiness during the years which lie ahead. May you ever be active in worthy endeavors, which will bring honors to your Alma Mater.
