To the Senior Class of 1961: May I extend to each of you congratulations as you approach the completion of your high school career. 1 commend you for your accomplishments. Graduation is an event which you have long anticipated, for certainly it is an occasion of utmost importance. While it marks the close of twelve years of suc- cessful scholastic work, at the same time it opens new doors to wider opportuni- ties, challenges, and responsibilities. As you take your place as citizens in our ever changing society, you will have an increased responsibility to the schools and to all functions of our national, state, and county governments. We hope that the precept and instruction you have received in Hart County Schools, in your homes, and in your churches will be reflected in a high sense of civic responsibility, and that your graduation will be a step upward to higher service and greater happiness.
