Bob Askins Jerry Barron Gary Bonds afuz1fff4 REMEMBER . . . . . . tramping over to Richmond High for our home games because we didn't have a field of our own? . . . the 6-O win over Piedmont? . . . the chilly afternoon we watched our team put a scare into the undefeated league champions, the Berkeley Yellowiackets? . . . the way they were held to l3-7 in the first half, but broke loose in the second to win, 32-7? . , . the stunned Eagles' losing the next one to Richmond, 34-l3? . . . the close call with DeAnza when our boys squeaked by them, l3-l2? . , , the fine defensive game they played against Alameda when they blanked the Hornets 6-O? , . . the last game of the season when they were edged 7-O by El Cerrito? . . . when Hank Hudson, Herman Hamp and Marlin Andes were cited as outstanding players in the Bay Area? . . . the gold footballs and ban- ner they received in recognition of their achievement? . . . our first varsity team's becoming the first newly formed high school to place in the NACAL? . . . the 3-3 record which gained them a third place tie in what is considered the toughest league in Northern California?
