X DIVISION VlYl2.9.'l faf Qifj X KE . if TV IQ of if E cl Q. X Division, Hubbard's pot-pourri for specialists, is the most vital group on the ship. Without yeomen and personnelmen, who would be alive? And without our mailman who would want to be alive? Normally in wartime operations, the men of X Division would be missing members of Hubbard's fighting compliment. But with its characters, X Division has soundly established itself as a welcome and necessary aid to the older Divisions. In the office you cannot beat the double L combination, Lasher and Louie. These two, through intelligence, long hours, and much Bravo Sierra, have handled all the crew's paperwork problems. Peters, I got some orders for you today. Another five years on Hubbard. And where can you find aphilosophy like Haygoodfsz It's no fun unless you can gripe . Doc Ray was worried in Subic. Half the crew was sick, but Doc wondered who his next striker was going to be. 'Witcher had gone to school. Wilkenson had developed a bad kidney after one night on the beach with Doc. And who else could say, Mr, Robbins, I can't finish all my work unless I get another striker ..... Do you suppose I could get off a little early tomorrow, say about 1000. One of my old steaming buddies is in port. Finally, X brings good news and bad, all handled by our man from Ghoowhamm, Wusstig, PC2. Wusstig didn't have too much to do when we were at sea for 56 days, so he got a striker. He got additional help from a new Ensign in handling the mail on one helo detail. That's X Division, full of fun, hard-working, and ever-present for Service to the Crew .
