A Royal Performance Homecoming Reigning proudly over the Homecoming game was Angela Hood. Angela was crowned the 1986-87 Homecoming Queen during the halftime festivities by Marie Dedman, last year's Queen. Elected by the student body, Angela was honored to serve as this year's Queen. This ceremony climaxed the events of a busy Homecoming week. Although the parade was rained out in the afternoon, Queen Angela led the parade of attendants and floats during halftime to the cheers of an enthusiastic audience. Angela is captain of the cheerleading squad, President of Pi Zeta Sorority and D.A.R. Good Citizen. She has also been a class officer, Girls' State Representative and Miss Congeniality in the 1986 Mercer County Fair. Angela's devotion and loyalty to her school have made her a beloved monarch. After graduation from HHS, Angela plans to attend the University of Kentucky. Queen candidates, Jennifer Notter and Monique Stokes escorted by George Yeast take time to pose before their command performance in front of the Homecoming crowd. Each queen candidate was selected by the football team and have led an active senior year at HHS. Pausing backstage, the candidates give moral support before the curtain goes up. Homecoming -15
