Who are those people that prevented the Secretary, Mrs. Patsy Clevenger, from going insane? The office aides! To be a true Life Saver , one must be willing to do just about anything and everything. They answered the phone, ran errands, passed out announcements, and checked the attendance for each class. The tasks may seem simple to the common everyday student, but that is merely a myth. The aides usually have a list of chores for them to tackle each day. The teacher's aides are also a group of hard-working, versatile students. Most are usually found typing or grading papers for the teachers. They often ran errands off school grounds. Most trips, venturing out of school, ended up at McDonalds. Terry Drakeford and Weef were often found enjoying a few meals a week at good ole Macs. Paula Bruner lakes a break to chat on the phone with her friend Sandy Brown. After running an errand. For the past 6 years there has been a member of the Freeman family on the Girls Basketball team. In 1980-1982 Kim Freeman, Missey's oldest sister, played for the Lady Pioneers. Then, in 1982-1984, Cyndy Freeman was a member of the team. But, 1985 brings an end to the Freeman basketball players. This year will be a sad one, not only to the Freeman family, but the basketball team as well, because Missey is the only senior on the team this year. Missey has made many friends on and off of the basketball court and she will be missed in the years to come. The theme for this year was One More Night . The dance started at 8:00 p.m. and lasted until midnight. Close to 200 people attended the prom and danced the night away to the WLAP FM sound system. The music was fabulous with a mix of rock, soul, and country. The walls of the Lions Park Community Center were decorated with stars and streamers. The colors were three different shades of blue. Crowned Prom King and Queen were Nelson Thompson and Jean Campbell. After being crowned prom royalty, they shared a dance together before everyone else joined them on the dance floor. The garter ceremony was quite unique. The girls' dates removed the garters and wore them around their arms for the rest of the evening. All the members of the 1984-1985 Harrodian staff were first time journalists and had a lot to learn about compiling a yearbook. It was fun learning about layouts, copy sheets, head- lines, and type styles. Rushing to meet deadlines, cropping pictures, and writing copy were just a few of the many jobs in which everyone participated. Everyone worked on many sections and developed a broad range of journalistic skills.
