Unsuspecting Candy Russell appears completely unaware of the title that awaits her. Perhaps Candidate Vicki Craig’s smile foreshadows the Pioneer victory. Confusion is always the scene before any parade. HOMECOMING: The image of tinted patterns of traditional events-bonfires, parades, spirited spectators and cheerleaders, and the gridiron action-all echo a memorable and victorious occasion. Juniors put the final touch on their First Prize float. The Seniors’ Second Place float makes the trip to the parade formation. The '69 football Pioneers compiled the best seasonal record for Harrodsburg in many years. Jimmie Best was named First Team All C.K.C. Center, while Ronny Young, Bo Smith, and Monte Meadows were awarded Honorable Mention. Starting off slowly, the team came on strongly to lose only two of their last ten games. Hopefully, a new spirit was born—a winning spirit. The team would like to thank sincerely Coaches Harold Wood and Wayne Bowlin for their patience and guiding inspiration. H.H.S. is duly proud of this year’s fine football squad, and predicts that its winning ways will continue. HAPPENING '70 Stall Members Work Hard to Make a Memorable Year Hard work and enjoyment center around the Journalism class at H.H.S. Many hours of proofreading, interviewing, writing, and pasting go into each newspaper with care. The staff members take pride in each edition of their newspaper and find it rewarding to see their work in print. The purpose of the newspaper is to better inform the students of H.H.S. happenings, add enjoyment to school curriculum, and to express the different views of students and faculty.
