One of the projects initiated this year was the raising and lowering of the flag in front of the school. Shown taking care of this duty are Mike Compton and Art Freeman. Student Council representatives are: Nancy Gabhart, President; John Clarke Keller, Vice-President; Mike Compton, Secretary-Treasurer; Lucian Yates; Pam Wolfe; Brenda Trisler; Paula Davenport; Bill Purdom; Toni Brumback; Sherri Logue; Judy Watts; Vicki Devine; Bill Graves; Jeanne Reed; Myra Greenburg, Ruth Ann Trisler; Rita McRay; and Jane Aldridge. Without them their task would be a lot harder. These students give up their study hall to be of assistance. Although sometimes they are accused of roaming the halls, much to the dismay of the students sitting in class, they usually have a valid explanation for being where they are. The responsibility of putting books back in the proper places and checking them out is given to: Pat Chilton, Betty Black, Ruth Bryant, Joan Pope, Candy Russell, Joyce Sanders and Phyllis Peavler. 100 Typing the announcements and running errands for Mrs. Pelsor and Mr. Chaney are the main functions of the office workers. They include: Ann Hunter Burton, Diane Anness, Becky Wilson, Pam Wolfe, Vicki Craig, Nancy Cole, Lana Barnett and Dianne Million. Guidance workers track down students wanted by Mr. Royalty and then keep them entertained until he is ready to see them.
