Several concerls were presenled lhroughoul lhe year, including lhe Chrislmas Concerl and Annual Spring Concerl al Harrilon, a concerl al Girard College, and exchange programs wilh olher schools. Members ol lhe slring seclion were given an oppor- lunily lo develop lheir musical lasle by playing chamber music al dinners, luncheons and meelings. ln addilion lo perlorming in lhese larger groups, lhe beller musicians had lhe experience ol perlorming as soloisls or parlicipaling in solo groups. Aside lrom Harrilon Orcheslra aclivilies, all members had lhe privilege lo compele lor posilions in lhe Soulheaslern Dislricl Orcheslra. This group is composed ol lhe besl musicians lrom high schools lhroughoul soulheaslern Pennsylvania. Many ol lhe Harrilon Orcheslra personnel oblained lhe benelils ol playing lhe challenging music provided by lhis organizalion.
