DEDICATION MRS. MARY LaDUC The PIRATES LOG staff and the membership of the Harrisville Teachers' Association are most happy to dedicate the twenty-third edition of our school yearbook to a dedicated member of the special faculty. Mrs. LaDuc, who first started her duties as dental hygienist in 1951, has always placed duty and loyalty to her school and her community before all else. She has faithfully discharged her duties through these many years. We all wish Mrs. LaDuc many more years of happiness. We look forward to her presence among us in future years.

In a very close vote, an entry featuring the bicentennial symbol was selected. Kelly Phelps had submitted this entry. There were many fine entries from students from seventh through twelfth. This twenty-third edition of the Pirai.es Log is the result of many long hours of discussion and work by the members of the staff. The staff once again voted to continue publishing the PIRATES LOG on right hand pages only, a decision that lends some uniqueness to our yearbook since we are the only New York yearbook to do so. Mr. LeBlanc, who has been adviser since the beginning, once again advised.
