HONOR STUDENTS Miss Rice Valedictorian Miss Rose Salutatorian Miss Waugh Regents Scholarship Miss Eileen Rice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Edwin Rice, is this year's valedictorian with an average of 92.63 for twenty-two units. She has majors in language, mathematics, music and science. She has been a member of the National Honor Society for the past three years. Eileen has participated in a number of musical groups, including girls' chorus', mixed chorus, triple trio, and senior band. She has also been active in choral plays and the Piratones. She was a member of the cheerleading squad during her first and second years. In the fall, she will enter the State University College at Potsdam where she plans to major in music, specializing in piano. Miss Susan Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Rose, has earned the honor of being salutatorian with an average of 92.45 for twenty-one units of work. She has majors in language, mathematics and science. She has also been active in musical groups, having been a member of the senior band, girls' chorus and mixed chorus. Susan is a three-year member of the National Honor Society and is currently the president of this organization. She has been a member of the yearbook staff and is this year co-editor-in-chief. She has served her class as secretary as a sophomore and is this year's class vice-president. She is the recipient of the Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Award. She will enter coliege in September, majoring either in mathe- matics or foreign languages. Miss Constance Waugh is Harrisville Central''s only New York State Scholarship winner this year. Connie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Doran Waugh. She also has maintained an above-ninety average (91.35). She will enter State University College at Buffalo where she will major in speech pathology and audiology.
