YEARBOOK STAFF Since the beginning of recorded time, each day has been marked with an advancement in some field. Although the advancement might have seemed trivial and minor, it was, nevertheless, one step closer to the modern, affluent society of this decade. Man has grown, almost beyond comprehension, in his mental capabilities in reasoning and gaining knowledge. Learning has become a mechanical act performed by all schol- ars. The one major factor responsible for this is education. Education is the process of systematically training and teaching the minds of individuals. For every achievement- from the discovery of fire to the invention of the most complex spacecraft- education has been involved. The accumulation of knowledge through the milleniums has contributed to the present-day society which is unsurpassed by any other known civili- zation. If knowledge has produced the innumerable conveniences which we enjoy today, then let education continue its course. Susan Rose, co-editor-in-chief It is very difficult to fashion the specific expressions a student wishes to use in telling a teacher he appreciates and is thankful for that teacher's education and guidance. Throughout our school years, the members of this far-reaching profession have continued to lend their assistance and guidance in school work as well as other areas of our lives. Many consider teachers just another part of the school and getting an education. This is not true today as many of our teachers are also civic and religious leaders in our community. This again helps to further even more the welfare and opportunities for young people. As seniors, we feel we should express our gratitude to these educators who have helped us accomplish our utmost goal: preparation for future life. It is only fitting that we offer our thanks to them in this school publication. Since beauty is in simplicity: thank you.
