HONOR STUDENTS Miss Joanne Bango, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bango, is valedictorian of the Class of 1965 During her four years at Harrisville Central, Joanne maintained an average of 93«45 She plans to enter New Paltz College of Education in September, where she will major in Art Education. Miss Bango is the winner of a State Regents Scholarship. Miss Dian Chartrand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chartrand, is the salutatorian, having maintained an average of 92.53 during her high school career. Dian will enter Albany College of Education in September. She plans a career in Business Education. Miss Helen Ritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ritz, ranks third in her class with an average of 90.48. She will attend Career Academy in Washington in September. She plans a career in Medical Technology. Other honor students and their averages are: Miss Linda Fraser, 89.45; Miss Anne Irish, 87; Miss Joan Hunter 87; Miss Connie Scott, 86; Roderick Parow 85; Miss Trinda Hirschey 85« The staff of the PIRATES LOG wishes to extend its congratulations to these honor students. The knowledge which they take with them will bring meaning to their lives and earn for them a position of purpose in this complex world.

CLASS PROPHECY 1980- The Scoop on the Class of 1965 CAROLYN ATKINSON has continued her career in acting for which she was praised in high school. She is now starring in the movie Mash on the Monster . GARY ATKINSON, our woodsman, is now overseer of Yellowstone Na- tional Park . We hear he gets along quite well with the bears. JOANNE BANGO has won world renown for her latest still life painting The Vase . ftAM BENSON is now leading a successful life in Albany as head of the Depart- ment of Conservation. We wonder where all the wild life has gone! DAVE CAHILL has had much success as a restaurant proprietor. He has just built the most modern restaurant of the U.S. in Las Vegas. DIAN CHARTRAND, the diplomat of our class, is the first woman ambassador to Transylvania. We have heard that ENZA CLARKE was caught in a whirlpool bath last week. For- tunately, there were no serious injuries. Enza is a physical therapist on the good will ship Hope . DEAN CLARY who has always wanted to own a new convertible now has a different one for every day of the week. LARRY DAVIE made a start in drumming as a high school student and is now the outstanding drummer in Lawrence Welk's Band. DIANE DRAPER who was businesslike is now the private secretary to the President. LINDA FRASER, our sportswoman, has finally settled down to teaching Physical Education in an all boys school. JOANNE GIBBS is now hair stylist to the First Lady, the former Caroline Kennedy. JOHN HATHWAY who was always a good Republican politician is now press secretary to the President. PAT HOOLEY whose renown was always known in homemaking is Salad Chef at the Waldorf Astoria. TOM HOOLEY who was known for always being on time is president of Hooley's Alarm Clock Company. ANNE IRISH, known for her patience and understanding, is now teaching in Seward, Alaska. ORLY JACKSON, inclined to put the monkey wrench in the wrong place, is head grease monkey at the Indianapolis 500. BEV KOSTER won all the races and now owns a horse ranch in Kentucky. CONNIE LaFAVE who came to everyone's rescue is now a star on General Hospital . ROBERT LaPLATNEY is now cast in the role of Barney Fyfe on the Andy Griffith Show. SUSAN LaVANCHA, always willing to do anything for anybody is now the fastest waitress in Dave's Restaurant in Las Vegas. ARLENE MANCHESTER who has always known quite a bit about hair care is the head color sampler at Miss Clairol Inc. DUANE MANCHESTER, always willing to give everyone spiritual advice, is head chaplain at Danemora. LARRY MARTIN has recently been elected the Shultz of the famed organization, Alcoholics Anonymous. CHERYL McEATHRON, the quiet one of our class, now leads a normal home life with twelve children. She strongly believes in the adage which states that things are cheaper by the dozen. GEORGIA NORRIS who was never heard by anyone is now the voice you hear when you dial A Prayer . ROD PAROW, experienced in handling money, now piles gold bullion at Fort Knox. JERRY PIKE is the star player of the Globetrotters. In high school he was one of our favorite basketball players. MARTHA RIPLEY who always got along with all the boys has married Dr. Zorba. HELEN RITZ who never came to school sloppily dressed is the top fashion model for the New York Telephone Com- pany. PAT SCANLON, a fond lover of the Kennedy family, has married John Jr. CONNIE SCOTT who never went anywhere is now traveling abroad. FLORA SEILS has finally gotten rid of her nosy neighbors. She lives a quiet but happy life with her family. RUTH SHAW has just won the Pillsbury Bake-off in New York City for her recipe of double-decker popovers. DON VALENTINE who always liked furry little animals now owns the former Dave's Mink Farm. DREW VAN WYCK who showed great promise in school plays is now an actor and director of the Watertown Little Theatre . GREG WHEELER who always tried to manage everything; now manages Dave Cahill's Restaurant in Las Vegas. BEV WICKS who disliked farming as a high school girl now owns a string of dairy farms across the country.
