HONOR STUDENTS Miss Joanne Bango, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Bango, is valedictorian of the Class of 1965 During her four years at Harrisville Central, Joanne maintained an average of 93«45 She plans to enter New Paltz College of Education in September, where she will major in Art Education. Miss Bango is the winner of a State Regents Scholarship. Miss Dian Chartrand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Chartrand, is the salutatorian, having maintained an average of 92.53 during her high school career. Dian will enter Albany College of Education in September. She plans a career in Business Education. Miss Helen Ritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ritz, ranks third in her class with an average of 90.48. She will attend Career Academy in Washington in September. She plans a career in Medical Technology. Other honor students and their averages are: Miss Linda Fraser, 89.45; Miss Anne Irish, 87; Miss Joan Hunter 87; Miss Connie Scott, 86; Roderick Parow 85; Miss Trinda Hirschey 85« The staff of the PIRATES LOG wishes to extend its congratulations to these honor students. The knowledge which they take with them will bring meaning to their lives and earn for them a position of purpose in this complex world.
