Especially the sponsors and hon- orary crew members, Mrs. Williamson and her Art Department, Mr. LeBlanc, its ad- Y ®er» and the many who furnished material for the contents of this year’s PIRATE LOG. Please accept our deep feelings of gratitude and our sincere wishes for con- tinued success and happiness. NATIONAL honorsociety Seated: Miss S. Elizabeth Jones, Faculty Adviser, Helen Weekes, Secretary Kathleen Gabriel. Standing: Mr. Marcel LeBlanc, Faculty Adviser, Richard Wood, Gerald Humes, Robert Ogrodnik, Murray Collette, Vice-President, Donald Hathway, President. One of the highliights of the year, National Honor Society-wise, was the March Induction Ceremony. Two new probationary members were added from the Sophomore Class. They were Donald Rose and Winnie Mae Silvernell. The Society met regurlarly in the Homemaking House. Whenever possible, the business meeting was followed by a social hour. At the suggestion of the school librarian, the local chapter constituted itself as an advisory council concerning the selection and purchase of new volumes for the school library. It set aside fifteen minutes of each business meeting for this purpose. Each member was requested to suggest a number of titles which he or she felt should be added to the current selection. A critical examination of each sug- gested title was held and, when favorable, the librarian was informed of the council’s decision. A pleasure-educational trip is to be planned for the Spring. Details are hot available at this time, however. Last year, the group motored to Rochester where they were guests of the Kodak Company.
