As the school year came to an end, one could see signs, posters and banners plastered on the walls. Students were running for different offices which made up the Student Colmcil. Student Council members began making plans for the year early in the summer months. A welcome party was held before school started to get new students acquainted with the old students and the school. From the first day of school, Student Council was kept very busy planning money-making projects and various activites, to increase student involvement. During the first part of the year, Student Council sponsored the Christmas Dance, awarded money to first, second and third place floats dLu'ing Homecoming and sponsored Spirit Days each Friday. Once again the annual magazine sales were held, which is the major money-making project, which profited almost S2,000. Other activities and projects in the year include getting banners for all the teams in our conference to be hung in they gymnasium, sending flower-grams for Valentine's Day, providing forks for the lunch room and having a breakfast for the faculty. Teri Levy places books back on the shelf. 41 Study Hall m the library provides a time for Greg Harvey to study udents shelve experience Library science, while not a new class, is one that is growing each year. This class teaches a student how a library is run, and how to use one. Library science is interesting, and you get to know a lot more people, and it widens your vocabulary, commented Teri Levy. This year students received a new text Called DISCOVERING BOOKS AND LIBRARIES. Mrs. Vallee has revised the colu'se and she feels it is more effective and informative. This year I have a very good group of students in library science. Definitely the caliber of students in library science partially determines the quality of service that the library can provide.
