A Seniors learn basics of teaching Teaching teachers, is that what it's all about? For 42 seniors, it seemed that way. These were students participating in the cadet teaching program in classes ranging from playground supervision to chemistry. The program is open for any eligible senior who is interested in becoming a teacher, or just very interested in a particular subject. The program is growing in participation. Mrs. Francie Schaufiler, junior high English teacher, expressed praise in her views, I believe the program is of great value both to the assisting teacher and to the cadet teacher. The cadet teacher has the opportunity to experience a real classroom situation in the attitude of a teacher, thereby having a chance to see if this career field is a possibility for him. 1. Ques es esto? asked students of Cindy Adams, cadet teacher in Spanish. 2. Candy Monachino discusses several art fundamentals and techniques with students. 3. Lynn Coburn and Pam Faught measured how far elementary students jumped. Cadet teachers for the 1977-78 school year are as follows: FRONT ROW: K. Proffitt, C. Holden, L Scavuzzo, J. Reece, L. Byron, Y. Lovedahl, C. Burns, S. Ford, P. Graef. SECOND ROW: R. Frogge, C. Tinsley, K. Snead, K. Watson, M. Moore, L. Miller, C. Worel, A. Nyce. BACK ROW: K. Emmons, R. Loeffel. L. Coburn, C. Foster, A. Chatham, D. Capps, G. Cole, C. Sevy, J. Hodge, D. Kirkham, P. Litle.
