EDITORS NOTE This school year has been especially enjoyable for me as editor of Reflections '84 because of the dedication and hard work of several people. l would like to express my appreciation to the following: Mrs. Annette Mayo who served as Harrisonburg High Schools yearbook advisor, Mrs. Kay White who served as Harrisonburg Elementary SchooI's yearbook advisor, Mrs. Vera Smith and Mrs. Eloise Hughes who helped in advertisement sales for the yearbook, and Mrs. Carolyn Patten who graciously allowed us to use her home for photography sessions. With the help and creativity of the yearbook staff, my job was made less burdensome. This staff worked consistently and conscientiously to produce a fine memory book. l cannot omit the parents who were both supportive and interested in this project. Student Council The purpose of the Student Council is to develop a spirit of cooperation among students, to give students a voice in formulating the policies of school, to learn the correct procedure in conducting meetings, to recognize and develop leadership in students, and to promote a better understanding between the students and faculty.
