THE HARRISONIAN 1965 • «? I And I rose in Autumn and listened to the shower of all my days ... on the hill’s shoulder - Cloud and the roadside bushes brimming with whistling Blackbirds and the sun of October Suddenly turned the hill’s shoulder into Summer . . . From Poem In October by Dylan Thomas As in this poem, the primary purpose of any yearbook should be to serve as a catalyst for memory; it is to induce those memories, both pleasant and not so pleasant, of a time which time only loans to us. With this purpose in mind, we now dedicate this, the 1965 HARRISONIAN, to those pleasant worlds of memory and recollection with the hope that in some time hence, it may serve as a key to unlock the door to the sunlight and warmth of a fleeting moment in our time of growing and maturing . . . 2 ■ Foreword Advertisements Si Administration Seniors Underclassmen Elementary Organizations Sports Activities In Appreciation . . . We the Senior Class of 1965 wish to express our deepest gratitude to our Sponsors, Mrs. Adams and Mr. Eaton. In acknowledgement of our appreciation for their help, unfailing co-operation, and unselfish giving of their time, we wish to dedicate the 1965 Harrisonian to them. Superintendent PAUL L. Gene and Gary are now serving in jail But none of their friends will post any bail. Lois Reed takes on all dares Playing guard for the Chicago Bears. From out of the future I suddenly saw Paul Making Mr. Fifteens In the Army mess hall. At Carnegie Hall we find Martha Sharp Strumming away on her golden harp. And there’s old Chris having a ball. What’s she doing at Carnegie Hall? Carol Ann Gross sure does work fast. She and her boss have quite a blast. Marieta, she’s still running wild, Racing and winning at the ”500 mile. Since Debby has joined the Peace Corps, There will be no peace no more. Phil Jones is using his head. He got a job teaching girl's phys. ed. High above walks Alan Meyer Gracefully falling from the high wire. Nurse Carolyn runs in with her stethescope Followed by Bill, the Catholic Pope. Mary Cooper, the little scamp, Has just become the heavyweight champ. Meanwhile Karen is about to collapse Since Janie has flunked out of beauty school, She's now a life guard at Tuhey's Pool. Running round the desk from her boss’ grasp. John sings with such low mellow tones He’s now a member of the Rolling Stones. As John sings and stomps his feet, Connie does the Jerk in perfect beat. Nedra, Diana, and Cindy can’t wait till June So they can start their 2nd honeymoon. Farmer Ruth hasn’t a care. She and her shorthorn make quite a pair. My time machine is broken, I can see no more.
