We, the Senior Class of 1956, dedicate the annual to our sponsor, Mr. Wright, in considera- tion of all he has done for us. He has smiled when we were sad, lifted our spirits, guided us with tolerance and faith. So, to you, Mr. Wright, we dedicate this Harris- onian of '56. xittctfiaC 4 '7?t 44 ye Time marches on, carrying with it the associations of people that make up our society. Modern advancements and technologies have produced complexities that require much skill and thought in order to be a part of this society. It is my sincere hope that we at Harrison have given you a background that will prepare you to continue through life to be a successful citizen. Our best wishes go with you always. LOWELL E. John Drayer, will my pure untouched blond hair to Judy Sayre. I, Frances Long, will my figure to Mrs. Moulton. I, Larry Hargis, being of unsound mind and unstable body bequeath my place at Harrison to anyone who has the misfortune of being placed here. I, Jim Becdle, will my thick hair to Mr. Conner, and my short hair cut to Herbie Jones. I, Evelyn Gregory, will my short hair to Darlene Brown. I also will my front seat in the assembly to anyone who wants it. I. Opal Swoope, will my 22 waist to Lois Ann Short and Kermit to no one. I, Mary Clark, will my blue eyes to Trace in the place of his disturbing brown ones, my extra height to Spencer Campbell, and my peroxide bottle to no one. I, Norman Borror. will my long legs to Jeff Clements and my extra weight to Rose Ann Shull. I. Dick Bailey, will my small feet to Dennis Beedle and Gary Drumn, my extra weight to Randy Harman, and my rowdy ways to quiet Linda Marsh. I. Pat Stephenson, will my blonde hair to anyone who can get their head in a hottle and my height to Spencer Campbell and Jim to anyone who is big enough to take him away from me. I. Anne Harrold, will my ability to call hogs to Margaret Hatton, and my long hair to anyone who will take care of it. I. Hilda Sollars, will my brains to Dean Campbell, my shortness to Bob Murphy, and my shiny blonde “ducks” to Mr. Platt. I, John Wray, will my baseball and basketball suits to Larry Bailey, and being Senior Class President to Pat Painter. I. Dee Clevenger, will my job in the cafeteria to anyone who likes handling money and is honest. I, Harold Hiestand, will my old ’49 Chevrolet to Shod Townsend, my civics book to anyone who can get more out of it than I did and my ability to get along with some girls to anyone who needs it. I. Nancy Robbins, will my “good-learning” in Latin to Spencer and Tom; and Jerry to no one. I. Joyce Yeager, will my ability to explain the complicated laws of Chemistry to Bob Colter, and my “A’s” in Civics to Phil Glaze. I, Carleeta Cart, will my job at the restaurant to anyone who can stand it, and my pierced ears to Rose Ann Shull. I, Martha Nauman, will my ability to collect library fines to all money lovers. I, Charles McKay, will my wavy hair to “baldy” Conner and my extra height to “shorty” Addison. I, Herschel Brown, will my black and white Chevy to David Hiser and my trumpet to no one. I, Jerry Fuson, will my baseball suit to Wayne Lee and my ability to get nothing done fast to Mark Pitzer. The year is 1970 as Carlecta Carl and I, Jim Beedle, start our campaign for the 1970 census. We are now in New York, and we came upon Hilda Sollars. You would hardly recognize her. She contributed to the census wholeheartedly as she has six little Hildas. The next door bell we ring really gives us a jolt. It is the household of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Chandler. Mrs. Chandler happens to be Opal Swoape, one of our former classmates. Mrs. Chandler tells us that living next door to her is another of our classmates, the former Miss Francis Long, now the mother of two little boys. Next we travel to Washington, D.C., where much to our surprise we found the Speaker of the House of Representatives to be Martha Nauman. Martha tells us that the President is very ill and that Doctor Nancy Robbins is his attending physician. Next we go to Philadelphia. Here we hear there is to be a very exciting baseball game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and the Philadelphia Phillies. We take in the ball game and find John Wray is the star pitcher for the Dodgers. We also met Ann Harrold, who is working as a teacher of ballet at one of the Arthur Murray studios. After more traveling we find Charles McKay in Detroit, test driving cars for the Ford Motor Corporation. Thirteen years ago John Drayer and Richard Bailey enlisted in the U. S. Army; now we find Richard to be a Corporal and John still a Buck Private. Mary Clark and Evelyn Gregory have joined the Navy. It seems Mary is spending most of her time on K. P. duty. Evelyn is married to a fellow in the Marines and has a son whose chief ambition is being a pilot in the Air Force. As we journey back to our old stamping grounds we find quite a change at old H.H.S. Now Dee Clevenger is principal and Joyce Yeager is music teacher. We find Norman Borror as chief Janitor. Herschel Brown owns 1000 acres of land and is really farming big. Herschel said that Jerry Fuson is his hired man. In Indianapolis we discover that Mrs. James Buchanan, formerly Patty Stephenson, is a private secretary for a very prominent lawyer, Larry Hargis. Harrold Hiestand is making a profitable living at his old job of trapping. We see that everyone received a good education at Harrison Twp. High School.
