It is our desire that future Harrisonites may have fi odern school building ln which 5 they may add stronqlinks to t clnii'St lm ledqe. 1 c ' , s era W PR1Nc1PAL's MESSAGE The rehabilitation of Harrison Technical High School which is scheduled FOREWORD and DEDICATION NM 4 to begin this year will mark a milestone in the history of this great institution. The school was formally opened in September. 1909 with Mr. Frank L. Morse as principal and a faculty of nine teachers in the Farragut High School. The school occupied the present building in May, 1914. At the time of its OCCUDGTICY, Harrison Technical High School was considered one of the finest in the country, costing the taxpayers approximately Sl,500,000. The annex Was added about 1921. The building was quickly filled and during the greater part of its history experienced considerable overcrowding, leading to agitation for additions and extentions to take care of the increased enrollment. The present building program aims at remodeling, rebuilding and repairing the original structure so it can moreuadequately meet the modern educational requirements of its present student body and will cost considerably more than the original structure. lf.
