The happiest event at Harrison in many years Was the reunion of faculty and alumni when more than three hun- dred of them met to honor Mr. Frank L. Morse and to congratulate him upon having reached his eighty-fifth birthday. In 1909 Mr. Morse organized Harri- son High School, the first four-year aca- demic and technical high school in this district, moved with the school into this building in 1914 and served as its principal until his retirement in 1934. During this time Mr. Morse guided the establishment and growth of courses of study, a sound athletic program, and many fine extra-curricular activities. Mr. Twining, the toast-master, intro- duced the honor guests with most in- teresting reminiscenses and presented the love gift of eighty-five dollars to Mr. Morse for his birthday. With his usual graciousness, Mr. Morse replied in appreciation of the entire evening. A reading by Mildred Stengl Hudson and vocal solos by the former Emily Iob and Anthony Kopecky added to the pleasures of all, after which the lunch room resounded with the voices of happy friends renewing friendships of years ago. A most excellent dinner prepared by Mrs. Perry, the lunch room manager and her staff, was served by the Honor Society. 111-
