Kaplan, who handles and directs the business of this of- fice, has organized an active public relations program for publicizing the ac- tivities and achievements in which our school has participated. These activities have not changed now that the peace has come, The clothing, paper, and canned iood drives are still being carried on with much enthusiasm. The War Co-Ordinator has maintained satisfactory relations with various newspapers such as the West Side News, West Side Times, Chicago Daily News, Herald American, Daily Times, Chicago Tribune, and the Chi- cago Sun. SERVICE ln the years to come, Harrison will be able to point with pride and reverence to 4150 blue stars, and regretfully to 233 gold stars. The gigantic task of accurately re- cording this information has been ad- mirably accomplished by Miss Alice Mc- Gregor. The purposes of the service file pictured above are many and varied. Each ser- s M13- viceman has indicated on his card his name, service rank, citations, and service record. This record acts as a constant link between our favorite sons and their Alma Mover, These cards are also on hand for reference to aid them in later life. Thus, it provides a method of communication be- tween them and their friends who are still attending Harrison.

CC Inspired by Mr. Ioseph Ewald, Harrisons reception for teachers and principals of contributing schools was climaxed by a tea in the Social Laboratory, Band Director Ewald receives congratulations on his excellent program. THE SOCIAL LABORATORY Dr. Burkholder and string quartet contribute musically to the Social Laboratory affairs.
