ADJUSTMENT The Adjustment Office, under the su- pervision of Mr. lames C, MacGowan, communicates with the elementary schools which contribute to Harrison, in- terviews, tests, and arranges the pro- grams for entering Freshman, and through its maintenance of files and accumula- tive data, together with personal inter- views, aids in the adiusting of programs to the aptitudes and achievement powers of the individual student. PL ACEIVIENT The Placement Office, under the direc- tion of Miss Manila Cheshire, serves the student body in various capacities. lt counsels with all students who so desire at any time during their four years-W rnore particularly during the graduating semesterfon matters pertaining to ina- X ff, wt GO we XP-V65 G' triculation in a university or to a career in business. When students are forced by necessity to drop out of school, this office assists with work permits and recommen- dations for jobs. ATTENDANCE The chief aim of the Attend- ance Office is to keep as many students as possible attending school regularly, so that their highest scholastic rating may be maintained, Under the direc- tion of Mrs. Edna M. Siebert, this office was established after an investigation of several modern attendance systems. OFFICE AID The office aid is an important factor in our school's executive department, since many of the details pertaining to the ad4 rninistrative duties of our prin- cipal are referred to him. MT. Simon, as office aid, is exerting every effort to help make Har- rison a better school. e io .- In order to func- tion thoroughly and efficiently the Attendance Office keeps on file for each student a cu- mulative record of absences, cuts, tar- diness, early dis- missals, and par- ental interviews.
