Vista Valentine The Vista Assembly on Friday at nine, Was a most lovely tribute to St. Valentine. A sweet little colleen, our Rosie McGuire Led the way to that fair land we call I-Iearts' Desire. Peeping forth from the target of sly Cupid's dart, A gaily, be-ruffled, be-ribboned, red heart. The curtains then parted enough to reveal A gay Valentine box and our Postmistress Viel, Who read, with her usual charm and quick wit, From each Valentine's message, a humorous bit Or sentiments tender and sweet with romance, Giving pleasure to all, one could see at a glance And since there's no love at all without a song, Marianna played softly, to help things along. At last Mr. Wendling with wittiest art, Led the classic beloved, Let Me Call You Sweetheart. And then for good measure, the Boys' Bridge Club met And we looked in on Gene getting everything set. Greeting Stanley and Allen fthey really were cute,j Crying Open the door Richard and in walked Dick Fruit The poet has said that from blunders 'twould free us To see our own selves as some others do see usg So here was the chance for both matron and maid To see how a bridge game should never be played. Our thanks then to Vista for so fine a time For 'twas the very nicest of all Valentines! -I. G. DALE I 'ugc Sl'.A'fC'L'll
