mr. geiger strives to overcome the challenges of modern education I appreciate the opportunity extended to me by the RETROSPECT staff again this year to comment to the students and staff about our educational efforts. Public schools throughout the nation are now being affected by decreasing enrollments, financial pressures, and an uncertainty about the purposes and effectiveness of educational programs. During the last few years the dynamics of increasing enrollments and growth resulted in new facilities, the hiring of new programs, etc. This is no longer the case, and in fact, the opposite is now taking place. We must all try to understand these changes and plan together to provide quality educational programs for all young people. This will require the continued leadership and support of students, staff, parents and citizens of our community even more than in the past. I believe we can meet this challenge.
