To the Class of 1962: Graduation from high school means the beginning of new, exciting, challenging experiences in the field of education or business. My hope is that you have the educational and moral background to grow, as a result of these experiences, into useful, interested, intelligent citizens. From you, the future leaders of our community, state, and nation will come. To. be a citizen of the United States is a great privilege. Every privilege entails an obligation. To preserve our privilege of liv ing in a free country-, we must be willing to con- tribute our untiring efforts to protect it, and to sacrifice ourselves, if necessary. Sincerely yours, The indispensable Mrs. DeMacy. To the Class of 1962: Each year brings a greater need for individual integrity and responsibility in our personal lives — and even more so in our lives as related to com- munity, national and world affairs. It is my hope that Harrison High School has given you a set of values to build upon, that you may measure up to these demands of our time. May I suggest that you continuously measure yourself against these standards, that you may work to your fullest capacity and make your best contribution to society. If you follow these ideals, I am sure you will face the marvels and unknowns of the future with con fident expectation. My personal best wishes go with each graduate.
