IN MEMORIAM The fall term brought sad news to students and faculty alike, for Miss Fallon passed away. Miss Fallon will long be mourned, not only by the many excellent home managers and cooks whom she trained during her twenty-one years in the Harrison schools, but by everyone who had ever met her. We pause here to give thanks for what she has done for us.

We, of the Class of 1946, have chosen as our dedicatee a man who has contributed immeasurably to the prestige and progress of this school. Coming to Harrison High in 1935, he has always been ready and willing to do more than his part to promote the welfare of all. Through his understanding, sincerity, integrity, and foresight, he has proved to be an inspiring leader. His service as teacher of advanced sciences is a monument to his brilliance and fine character. For a time during the recent war, he served with the armed forces. His return to Harrison High School was eagerly welcomed by all. Those with whom he has come in contact will long remember him for the many informal, informative discussions we were privileged to have with him, and for his sound advice, keen judgment, and friendly manner. As a member of the faculty, sponsor of numerous clubs, and as our senior and junior class adviser, he has had a valuable influence upon us. We shall remember him for his likeable personality, and as a true man in whom we can place complete trust. With his open-mindedness and helpfulness, he has greatly aided us throughout our high school years, both as a group, and as individuals. The Class of 1946 is therefore proud and happy to dedicate this Yearbook to MR. BERNARD AUERBACH. 4
