Jfian s We had intended to devote this page in tribute to the several teachers who have helped us as official advisers. But we find it hard to limit our thanks to three or four teachers. Therefore, we want to take this opportunity to thank all of the faculty, all of whom have helped us immeasurably on innumerable occasions.

You will find no definite theme in this book. We of the Senior Class have found apt and pertinent thoughts only too numerous. World peace, our victory over fascism, the atomic age, and the Four Freedoms all would provide appropriate bases upon which to organize a Yearbook. But we feel that such lofty thoughts are better left to those more cap- able of self-expression. In this, one of the most momentous periods in history, we find our- selves the first class to graduate since the war. We realize the respon- sibilities ahead. As citizens of tomorrow, we are fully aware that only through mutual understanding and international cooperation can a just and permanent peace be secured. It remains for us to do our part in making this a better world for all. 14
