The I story that these pages will tell is one of excitement, friendship and I unity. It is for this reason that we chose Magic Moments for the 1983 I Yearbook theme. As you look back and review this book, please remember I the times that were Magic for you. I YEARBOOK MAGIC The 1982 Yearbook Dance was a great success. Over 400 students attended, including several graduates from the class of 1982. It was a night of fun and excitement that will long be remembered. A full cash box made our night. Gimme another one! Throughout Spirit Week various class competitions took place. All classes struggled to be 1 at Harrison High. With a great amount of participation in all events, the school was filled with spirit. Geils, with a little show from the SOPHOMORE class with Adam the Ants! He moved to Harrison at a very early age and has been in- volved in many school and community activities. Karl has been a two year member of the National Honor Society, serving this year as Vice-President. A member of the Newspaper Staff for three years, Karl has showed a unique writing ability. This year's Senior Play was very successful and Karl played an important part in achieving that success! Karl has been a great asset to Harrison High School during the last four years. Michigan State University has accepted Karl into the Lyman Briggs College of Science. Con- gratulations Karl on all of your accom- plishments. Although Jill was employed throughout her high school years, she still managed to give her studies top priority. This year Jill served as Student Council Pres- ident and also participated in the 1983 Senior Play. Sports activities have played a large part in Jill's high school years. In addition to three years in track Jill also was involved in basketball and skiing. Jill will be attending Lyman Briggs College of Science at Michigan State University in the fall. Many awards were given to deserving students. Awards were given for attendance, scholarship, yearbook, and sports. Nearly 3,000 people came to witness the commencement excerises for the class of 1983. Due to the inclement weather, the gradua- tion ceremonies were held inside the gymnasium. Speeches were given and a somber mood settled over the crowd as Mr. Tobey read the class role for the last time. For the gradu- ates marching out of the gym with diplomas and enthusiastic smiles, this was a day to be remembered.
