,IV Baseball The HCHS Junior Varsity Baseball squad gained valuable experience dur- ing a nine game season. Tom Putman handled most ofthe pitching duties and had 51 strike outs while only allowing l7 walks. Matt Ulch paced the hitting attack with a .381 batting average. Steve Ehle and Robin Archanbault were the most improved players. Dean Bolton jumped to the varsity and participated in several games. Leading hitter and most valuable player was Marc Mavis, who was bat- ting 349. Co-captains of the team were Mike Ridge and Mark Smith. Next year there will be eleven return- ing lettermen to help the team. The team appreciated the efforts of assistant coach, Jack Wellington, a student teacher at the middle school. Coach Sullivan said, We were a young team with only three seniors this year and looking forward to a veteran team next year.
