Developing and beautiting the area around the school is the work of the Conservation Club. They planted flowers in the front and seven miniature apple trees on the side of the school. The Conservation Club developed a nature trail that connects the High School with Hillside and Larson elementary schools. The Conservation Club also puts on a dance. All profits from the dance were donated to the Wile's family, in memory of Neil. l Pictured above, Forensic Students L to R: Sitting N. Cook, M. Kosciuszko, B. Willet. Standing M. Howey, C. In addition to the year- book, the class also produced 6'High Times, a small but factual newspaper. Lisa Beavers edited Metamorphosis, and Larry Simons was the editor of High Times. Ms. Miriam Bender advised the class through the advertising and infancy stage. Ms. Bender moved to Lansing in January. At this point Dorne Davis took charge of the class. Throughout the year many exciting events took place while working with the yearbook staff. We would like to thank the following people for their time and assistance: Brett Whitmore, Kim Shoaf, and Rocky Welch all contributed their artistic ability. Craig Sharp contributed photography. A special thanks to Eric Gruesbeck of Intercollegiate Press. We pay tribute in words to Leonard Hawks of Guys and Dolls Photography. Without his gracious attitude, eye, and opti- mism, Metamorphosis might just be a word. 5 Foreign Language lub The first year of the Harrison High School foreign language club was both eventful and successful. With only 8 members they sponsored a Dance and several bake sales to earn money. With their profits they went to Detroit to see The Little Prince. They also spon- sored a french dinner, which had many delicacies. Foreign Language, L to R: S. Rumsey, V. Farrand, L. Skowronski, J. Collins, S. McGowan, P. Prenger, L. Johnson.

The freshmen basketball team played outstanding basket- ball this season compiling a 9-7 overall record and a 9-2 con- ference record which took a second place in the Jack Pine conference. The team showed amazing stamina and durability especially since the team was composed of seven players for most of the season. Mark Tyrna and Dean Boulton lead the way offensively for the Hornets but, the team won by playing tough, aggres- sive TEAM defense. Pictured aboveg D. Boulton and R. Bucholz.
