Cross Countr 1 976 The Hornet Cross Country Team had a tremendous season in the fall of 1976. Bruce Brandon, the team coach, was proud of their performance. When asked. he had this to say about the teamg NThe Harrison Hornet C-C Team had an outstanding duel meet record during the 76 season with l l wins and l lossf' This is the best record ever earned by the Hornets during four years of competition at the var- sity level. The team was composed mostly of upper classmen. five juniors, and two seniors. Five team members were veteran runners. Their experience in running probably contributed to the very successful season. Although Cross Country had it's best season ever, the team placed only 10th in the regionals. out of 17 teams. No member of the Harrison squad qualified for the state finals. Pictured at left. The 1976 Varsity Golf Team had one ofthe largest turnouts ever. Consequently, the Junior Varsity Team was also one of the largest ever. The Varsity Team consisted of: M. Kosciuszko, R. Foote, G. Roy, J. Hoeft, and B. Abbot. The Junior Varsity Squad Was composed of A. Eresten, T. Morris, R. Harcourt, M. Hensel, B. Lar- son, and R. Bucholz. The team finished with a 3 win-1 loss League Record. This gave them a total of I l wins and 3 losses for the season. Greg Roy was voted most valuable player by his teammates.
