The Homet Cross-Country team has completed its regular season with a 7-7 and one tie record. Leading runner for the team was Chuck Tomes, who stepped through the three-mile course in the season's best time of 16:11. Dan Gamble provided second place score with his best time of 17:38, followed by Kevin McGinty 18: 16, Cliff Blackledge 19:08, and Ken Dyke 19:42. Coach for the team was Mr. Bruce Brandon, who did an excellent job of organization. In a very competitive regional meet, at Elk Rapids, the team did not fare well. But Tomes, in an outstanding ef- fort, qualified for the state fmals at Charlotte on Novem- ber lst.
