TURN, TURN, TURN To every thing there is a season turn, turn, turn, And a time for every purpose under heaven A time to be born, a time to die A time to plant, a time to reap A time to kill, a time to heal A time to laugh, a time to weep A time to build up, a time to break down A time to dance, a time to mourn A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together A time of love, a time of hale A time of war, a time of peace A time to embrace, a time to refrain from embracing A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew A time to love, a time to hate A time of peace, I swear it’s not too late 1 2 $ O i ,0 %? During this time, he also taught Commercial sub- jects and, in 1959 started the first Harrison High School yearbook. He has been Superintendent for 9 years. The halls and classrooms were filled with very suave Elvis’, Teen Angels, and Betty Lou’s from the era of the 1950’s. A “noise” pep rally was the main attraction of the day. It featured the best dressed a- wards which went to: Mr. James Schneider, from the Sci- ence Phys. Ed. departments, and Mary Gatton, a junior. A parade carried the Homecoming Court and class floats through town and onto the field for a victory game. During the half time ceremonies, Karen Baukus was crowned as the Homecoming Queen, by the co-captains of the football team. The team finished off Farwell with a 34-6 score. The “3rd Time Coming” provided music for the dance following the game, where the Queen and her court were formally in- troduced. 26 HOMECOMING QUEEN AND HER COURT,(from bottom to top): Freshman Representatives: Becky Jones, escorted by Scott Yankee (not pictured); Denise Weitzel, escorted by Dan Ashcraft (not pictured); Sophomore Representatives: Janet Thomas, escorted by Dan Purcell; Debbie Shull escorted by Dan Monroe; Junior Rep- resentatives: Marlena Corbin, escorted by Steve Jessup; Margret Mc- Glinchey, escorted by Mark Richardson; Senior Representatives: Mary Lou Coon, escorted by Doug Hillard; Queen Karen Baukus, es- corted by Randy Mayfield; Sue Hileman, escorted by Rick Craven. 29 m A TIME FOR PEACE 30 — LEFT,(front to back): Larry Henry.
