The sign on the bulletin board behind Mr. Don Richards says “Happiness is a good timed writing,” as anyone who has taken typing from him knows. He also teaches bookkeeping. MANY SKILLS Vocal music teacher Mrs. Sally Reidel, goes over a piece of sheet music with two of her very prom- ising pupils. She instructs the high school chorus as well as junior high and elementary music classes. 29

A new addition to our faculty this year was Mrs. Lahmann, who second semester switched from the teaching of English to that of Art. Mrs. Lahmann also supervises the Art Club and helps broaden the imagination of her students through this activity. Our Shop instructor, Mr. Rei- del, helps boys prepare for their future life by teaching them the skills of welding, woodworking, and mechanical drawing. Mr. Riedel is shown here in the tool room with two of his senior stu- dents, Dick Douglas and Ron Fanslau. STUDENTS ACQUIRE Mrs. Fosgett instructs Terry Wil- son, a freshman, in the fine art of sewing. Mrs. Fosgett teaches Home Economics I, II, and III. Students are taught cooking, home manage- ment and food nutrition. 28

Mr. Richard Johnson and Mrs. Connie Spaulc teachers take a well deserved break. Mr. Johnsor Mrs. Spaulding also teaches French I, II. Mr. William Pifer, physics and chemistry teacher, and Mr. James Rosecrans, conservation and biology teacher, are standing with a friend who assists them from time to time for demonstration purposes. Mrs. Barbara Richards, English and publica- tions teacher, also supervises the Cheerleaders, newspaper staff, and the publication of this year- book. English and speech teacher Mrs. Thora Morrison, directs her students toward a better appreciation of literature.
