This distinction is awarded on the basis of outstanding service to the student body, the school, and the community. With deep respect, sincere affection, and lasting gratitude, we wish to honor the memory of DEAN M. BUCHOLZ who so faithfully and efficiently served his country, his community, and his fellow man. This yearbook is dedicated to a man respected by the student body for his sincere approach to his pro- fession, his enthusiasm, and his unfailing school spirit. He was to some, a co-worker; to many, a coun- selor; to all, a friend. It is with deep and great pride, therefore, that we the staff of the 1966 Hornet, dedicate this publication to DEAN M. BUCHOLZ, former editor of the Clare County Cleaver. 3 4 The effort of study, the mysteries of science, the love of literature, the pursuit of wisdom, the fascination of the future . . . learning for time to come. This everyday con- tact with learning succeeds in bringing to view our endless efforts of study. Eventually we all realize that there will always be . . .
