Hileman Sr. 7 KEITH MAYFIELD--Principal Mrs. Newman is kept busy with recording school finances. Mrs. Hileman, Mr. Mayfield's secretary, has daily contact with the student body. Our two new faculty members of the second semester are Mrs. Layton and Mr. Dobbick. Mrs. Kelke helps elementary as well as high school students with their speech correction. Here we find Mrs. Dieghton and Mr. Bucholz taking a break while watching their gym students. 9 Mrs. Richards and Mrs. Morrison are kept busy with the English curriculum. Mrs. Morrison also teaches speech. Mrs. Fosgett demonstrates to her homemaking class how to put in a hem. Gee Herbie, I don't know? man, both teach mathemat science. Mr. O'Connor and Mr. Hile- ics. Mr. O’Connor also teaches Mr. Northup, who teaches social science, comments to his friend Mr. Ni- gro who teaches government and world history saying, My best friend al- ways wins Our commercial teachers, Miss Orcutt and Mrs. Lundburg, demonstrate how to type the letter “j . Mrs. Lundburg also teaches geography. 1 1 Mrs. Bosink and Mrs. McCleary, have done a wonderful job in the library. Mrs. Bosink also has college English and Spanish I and II. Mr. Rosekrans our biology teacher explains to Caro- lyn how wasps build their nests. Here we see Mr. Cleveland, our new shop teacher, looking over one of his new machines. Even though we faced a defeat on the gridiron, Cindy Jesse and Velma Wright, our Sophomore candidates, exhibited enthusiasm during the evening's festivities. Our pretty young debs from the Fresh- man class, Arlene Allen and Jan Brown, showed maturity beyond their years to disprove the old theory that Freshmen are babies. Cheryl won the title of Miss Clare County Winter Sports Queen, and represented Clare County at Grayling. Michigan for the title of Michigan Winter Sports Queen. The DAR Good Citizen represents citizenship, lead- ership, patriotism, and service both to her country and fellow man. It is expected of her to exhibit these qualities for which she has been chosen. In the Dis- trict Basketball Tournaments last year the Hornets were awarded the class C sportsmanship trophy.
